Todd Barnell
Todd Barnhill, NMCC's Artistic Director, earned both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Vocal Performance from East Carolina University and the University of Tennessee-Knoxville respectively. In addition to NMCC, Todd is the choral director at South Charlotte Middle School and serves as the choral cadre which organizes professional development for the choral directors in the Charlotte Mecklenburg School district. Previously, he was the Artistic Director of the 100 member North Myrtle Beach All City Choir as well as the Music Director at Loris First Baptist Church. As a performer, Todd had both leading and supporting roles in many US opera companies. In competition, he was a three time winner at the district level of the Metropolitan Opera vocal competition, received encouragement awards at the regional level, and won first place in the Orpheus International Vocal Competition. |
