Nicole Baker
Teacher, conductor and singer Nicole Baker has served as Jouyssance's Artistic Director since 1999. She recently retired from the music history and voice faculties of California State University, Fullerton, where she taught since 1997. A graduate of Wellesley College, Dr. Baker earned her MFA in Vocal Performance, minoring in Choral Conducting, and her Ph.D. in Music History from UCLA. She has conducted choruses for over 30 years throughout Southern California, including ensembles at CSUN as well as CSUF, plus numerous church and synagogue choirs. She has also led the Traditional Choir at St. Philip the Apostle CHurch in Pasadena since 2007. Groups directed - Jouyssance Early Music Ensemble |
