Male Barbershop Chorus

Based in South Venice, FL

We are the Venice Gondoliers, the local chapter of the Society for the Preservation and Education of Barbershop Quartet Singing of America (S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A. now known as the Barbershop Harmony Society.)

We sing for fun and fellowship and share our music with Civic Clubs, Schools, Retirement Centers and a variety of Community groups. We dress up in our best Barbershop finery for our Annual show, held each March, where you might find us performing Broadway show songs, traditional Barbershop tunes, sacred hymns or rousing patriotic anthems.

We are a nonprofit organization which sends performance proceeds to the Barbershop Harmony Society in Nashville, which distributes such proceeds to Music Programs, Scholarships and Cultural groups. Currently there are twenty six of us, women and men, who sing with the Venice Gondoliers.

If you like to sing and if you would like to share in the fun and excitement of barbershop harmony, then why not visit one of our rehearsals? All you need to be a Venice Gondolier is an interest in singing and harmony. Our music programs teach you basic music reading skills and vocal techniques.
