Park Ridge Chorale

Park Ridge Chorale

Community Chorus

Based in Park Ridge, IL

The Park Ridge Chorale was formed in 1984 after alumni from Maine High School held a banquet to honor Irwin Bell, a long-time Maine faculty member who conducted the choir for two years. The Chorale performs three times a year, with about 45 members each term. Auditions are held at the beginning of each term. The Chorale follows a traditional schedule, with a spring concert of classic choral music, summer concert of popular and Broadway songs, and a holiday arrangement in December.

For the last 15 years, the chorale has been directed by Edward Zelnis, who sang with Music of the Baroque for more than 20 years, has conducted productions at the Goodman and Steppenwolf Theaters and at Evanston's Light Opera Works, and has sung in the choruses of Lyric Opera and Grant Park Symphony.

Founded - 1984.
