Childrens Chorus

Based in Granite Bay, CA

It was time for a high-quality community children's chorus in Placer County. Several teachers, musicians, and friends of Founding Artistic Director, Judy Britts, met in the summer of 2008 to formulate and implement the Northern California Children's Chorus. The first workshop brought 50+ singers and their families to experience singing in a choir. Thirty-five families joined, Melissa Garcia was hired as a training choir director, a board of directors was finalized, and the Northern California Children's Chorus was in rehearsal, ready to learn, grow, and perform.
