Irving Chorale

Community Chorus

Based in Irving, TX

The Irving Chorale presents a full season of subscription concerts and supporting choral music in the local schools, churches and civic organizations. The Chorale is serving the community and helping to establish the City of Irving as a vital center of a wide variety of cultural experiences. The Chorale's broad-spectrum repertoire of choral masterworks includes Handel's Messiah; Faure's Requiem; Vaughan-Williams' Hodie, Dona Nobis Pacem and A Sea Symphony; Hanson's Song of Democracy, and Haydn's Te Deum. In addition, the Chorale performs a variety of traditional and contemporary choral music, ranging from anthems and festival compositions to Broadway classics, spirituals, and folk music.

The Chorale is a community chorus of more than 70 voices from Irving and the surrounding Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Members come from all professions and backgrounds. Membership is by open audition, which is held twice each year. Rehearsals are held each Thursday from 7:30 - 9:30 p.m. throughout the regular season, not only to prepare for upcoming performances, but also to afford each singer the opportunity to grow musically.
