Community Chorus

Based in Albuquerque, NM

The Enchanters is a semi-professional chorus that has been performing in New Mexico for over sixty years. Entertaining for banquets, social parties and various special events, they offer programs with selections from jazz, Broadway, patriotic, classical, pop and old standards. Programs can range from 30-90 minutes.

The Enchanters sound is rooted in the choral tradition of their predecessors, the Bel Cantos, a choral group founded by Russell Bell around 1958. Combined, this represents about 62 years of continuous service to the community. The Enchanters is currently seeking a new Artistic Director.

By performing choral music, they seek to entertain and inspire audiences through the joy of song. Though the repertoire may include music of a religious nature, the Chorus has no religious affiliation.

The concert season starts as early as mid-September and extends through May 31. The Enchanters performs approximately 20 concerts each season, many at retirement facilities.
