Mixed Community Chorus Chicago-based minister, singer, songwriter, and choir director Dexter Walker shepherded his fledgling Zion Movement Chorale from its early days working out of his parents' basement in 2003 to a beloved gospel powerhouse responsible for self-released albums like 2007's vibrant Move, its 2011 follow-up Move 2, and 2013's Greater Than Before, their debut for Entertainment One. During the course of their career, Dexter Walker & Zion Movement have shared the stage with many well-known contemporary gospel peers including Tye Tribbett, Albertina Walker & the Caravans, Chicago Mass Choir, VaShawn Mitchell, and more. Known for his ambitious arrangements and passionate, dynamic direction, Walker and his group returned in 2018 with the album Hope. |
