Community Chorus

Based in Richmond, CA

The Contra Costa Chorale was formed in 1966 as the Richmond Symphony Chorus and has maintained its presence in the East Bay ever since through several iterations. For the past ten years, under the direction of Cindy Beitmen, the Chorale has grown and steadied even through the pandemic and is now 80 singers strong. Singers of all ages and expertise are welcome to apply.

We perform concerts in the fall and spring in East Bay venues, singing two concerts for each set.

Founded - 1966.   Non Audition.

Directed by Cindy Beitmen.

Audition Policy - The director requires all applicants to be 'heard' in order to determine vocal range and placement in the group. This is not an audition; no preparation is necessary.
