Based in Palo Alto, CA

The California Bach Society, a 30-voice chamber chorus, has established a reputation for its interpretations of Renaissance and Baroque choral music. Specializing in historically informed performances since 1998, the choir has shared the stage with such early music luminaries as Magnificat and members of the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, and was a featured concert presenter at the 2000 Berkeley Early Music Festival.


Audition Policy - Auditions are held whenever there is a need for a particular voice part. If you are interested in singing with us, please submit the application below and you will be notified of the time and place for your audition.

Rehearsal Information - There is a six-week rehearsal period prior to performances, with a single intensive Saturday rehearsal at the start of a set. Weekly rehearsals are Wednesdays from 7-10 p.m. in Palo Alto.
