FreQuency History
Frequency is a 7-member contemporary a cappella "vocal band"-created to rearrange and perform popular songs from the 70's to today with a straight-forward and accessible all-vocal style. Based out of Orange County, Frequency has performed throughout Southern California including appearances at the Orange County Fair, San Diego Fair, the Los Angeles A Cappella Festival, the Los Angeles Harmony Sweepstakes, as well as local coffee shops and restaurants. Since 2013, they have hosted "Voices Only", a showcase of local A cappella groups, at the Miles Memorial Playhouse in Santa Monica. The group has been hired for several special events, such as weddings and engagement proposals, and were asked to perform to local audiences before the movie premiers of "Pitch Perfect: Sing Along Edition" and "Pitch Perfect 2". The group took 3rd place in the 2012 Los Angeles Harmony Sweepstakes, performed at Disneyland's very first A Cappella Showcase in 2016 and has become a familiar face in the a cappella community.
