Based in: Berlin, Germany.

Berlin-Friedrichshain, 1997: six musically talented students form themselves into a vocal sextet, in order to bridge the free hour before the school choir practice. A little later they change their name to "Musix" and make a full evening program off the ground, using the slogan "Let us go out there and inspire people!" That they would 13 years later, belong to one of the most popular a cappella bands in Germany, could not even imagine.

The fan base has since increased steadily, because "muSix" entertained with creative arrangements and a very own band's sound, which sounds exactly as it is called - for a band!

Initially specialized in the 6 to imitate famous pop and rock songs and reinterpret them. They discovered that one for a crisp groove does not necessarily need instruments. With bass and drums mouth "they have the most important elements of a band so in their own ranks.

Meanwhile, the vocal pop band their skills in numerous competitions. It already rained praise and accolades from all sides, including a silver medal (2002 in the International Choir Olympics in Busan, South Korea) and two silver certificates (vokal.total in Graz in 2003 & 2004).

In 2008, the newly crowned junior winner of the Hanns-Seidel-Stiftung also the second Place in the competition of the international A Cappella Festival in Leipzig and were therefore the best German band in the competition. The high point of their work so far certainly marked the winning of the Ward Swingle Awards at vokal.total Competition 2009 in Graz, followed closely by the first Place at the Federal Contest in the category A Cappella Pop / Professional.

In the summer of 2000 featured "Musix" their first album "voice break" and shows that their large bandwidth. 2004 was followed by CD number two, which was largely produced in-house, "Everything We Want". With this album, put the now 20-year-olds beginning new standards. The fresh sound showed that one can to a cappella sounds of dance. The disc received rave reviews in international forums and has even twice for the "CASA Award - nominated - the Grammy of the a cappella scene.

Also on stage a lot has happened. "Old as a tree" but "today as new" - so you can describe the concept in 2008 developed the first program of the band probably best. It consists of songs from the 70s, 80s and 90s by the Puhdys, Manfred Krug, Silly, elevator and many others. As the young singer from Berlin to the East is no longer active rock heard they approached this sound world with the freshest ideas and thus complete a cappella entered new territory.The accompanying album "Today, as new" was published in autumn 2008.

Parallel in October last year celebrated a new stage show premiere: "muSix - A cappella hit sensation" lives up to its name and provides next to "Today, as new" for an even fuller itinerary. Particularly in southern Germany, Austria and Switzerland is enjoying this carefully edited selection of international songs popular.

gave over 120 concerts there in 2009, and so there was almost as if by now the fourth CD, released this summer: "60:40 - muSix live" is filled with the best moments of the two current programs from the busy tour year.

All good things come in 5, which of course know the last 2 years, only five of us standing on the stage of muSix guys. Therefore, they are working already feverishly on the next studio album, which will be released next summer. .. So much is revealed: It is completely out of their own come spring and change the world! We are thrilled ...
