Santa Cruz Chorale History
The Santa Cruz Chorale, founded in 1983, dedicates itself to two goals: presenting audiences with distinctive, exciting concerts of choral works from diverse periods, and giving singers the chance to experience the delight and artistic growth that come from making music at the highest level. The Chorale's season consists of three concerts: the Christmas concert, a Santa Cruz holiday favorite, the Spring concert which usually features a guest choir, and the Summer concert - all presented in the beautiful acoustics of Holy Cross Church in Santa Cruz. Since 2006, the Chorale has been led by Artistic Director Christian Grube, internationally recognized conductor, adjudicator, and music reviewer, and emeritus professor of choral conducting at the Berlin University of Arts. |
