Dr. P. Bradley Logan, Professor of Music, is the Director of Choral Activities at Bemidji State University, where he conducts the Bemidji Choir and the Chamber Singers, and teaches conducting along with voice. He has served on the faculties of the University of Montevallo, Louisiana College, California State University, Long Beach, and Pelham High School. Dr. Logan holds his B.S. in Vocal Music Education from North Dakota State University, his M.A. in Choral Music from California State University, Long Beach, and his D.M.A. in Choral Conducting and Literature from the University of Illinois. He is Executor of the Edwin R. Fissinger Musical Estate and serves as co-editor of the Edwin Fissinger Choral Series published by Meadowlark Music Publications.

Dr. Logan continues active participation in the American Choral Director's Association presently serving as North Central Division R&S Chair for Youth and Student Activities. For seven years he served on the Minnesota ACDA Board of Directors as Northwestern Area Representative, R&S Chair for College and University, and R&S Chair for Youth and Student Activities. Other ACDA service includes State President, Treasurer and College/University Chair in both Alabama and Louisiana.

Dr. Logan's collegiate choirs have performed at state ACDA conventions in Alabama, Louisiana, and Minnesota, and state MENC conventions in Alabama, Louisiana, Minnesota, and North Dakota, most recently the 2001 and 2006 MMEA Midwinter Convention, the 2006 North Dakota MENC Convention, and the 2001 Minnesota ACDA Fall Convention. ACDA national and division convention performances include the 1992 Southern Division Convention in Savannah, the 1993 National Convention in San Antonio, the 2002 North Central Division Convention in Des Moines, and the 2003 National Convention in New York City.

Logan made his Carnegie Hall debut conducting Rene Clausen's a new Creation on April 15, 2002. He is scheduled to conduct Randall Thompson's Frostiana at Carnegie Hall in April, 2010.

On the international scene, Dr. Logan conducted The Bemidji Choir at the Third International Festival of Choirs in Siena, Italy, June 2001. In May of 2005 Logan served as conductor of the Rothenburg Choral Festival in Rothenburg, Germany, where he directed a festival choir and the Neue Philharmonie Frankfurt in a performance of John Rutter's Requiem. During the choir's 2008 tour of England and Scotland, Logan conducted the choir in St. Giles Cathedral (Edinburgh), York Minster Cathedral, Coventry Cathedral, Christ Church Cathedral (Oxford), St. Paul's Cathedral (London), and Westminster Abbey (London).

In the spring of 2003 he conducted the BSU Chamber Singers on the Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor.

Dr. Logan has been an active teacher of voice for twenty-nine years. His studio has produced numerous winners of state and division NATS competitions as well as prepared students for graduate study at leading conservatories in the United States.

An active career as a guest conductor and lecturer has taken him to Alabama, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, New York, North Dakota, Texas, and Wisconsin. Dr. Logan appears in the 1998 Who's Who Among American Teachers, the 1999 edition of Who's Who in the South and Southwest, the Millennium Edition of Who's Who in America, and Who's Who in the World 2000.
