Based in: San Francisco, United States.

Winner of the 2019-2020 American Prize in choral performance, San Francisco Choral Artists (SFCA) are a Bay Area chamber choir with a mission to foster new American choral music and to present eclectic, imaginative programs consisting of both new works and repertoire spanning 600 years in performances of uncompromisingly high quality.

Now in our 36th season, and the 25th under the leadership of Artistic Director Magen Solomon, we strive to share our music with a wide community by informing and engaging listeners of varying backgrounds, bringing pleasure and forging new personal and intellectual musical connections. We continually pursue new ways of using our voice to connect with the hearts, minds, and spirits of music lovers.

Each season, we offer 3 concert sets consisting of 3-4 live performances in San Francisco, Oakland, Palo Alto and other Bay Area communities, and we frequently collaborate with a diverse range of ensembles and solo performers including violinist Mads Tolling, harpsichordist Jillon Stoppels Dupree, the SF Chamber Orchestra, the Alexander String Quartet, The Whole Noyse, the Galax Quartet, the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, Veretski Pass, and the Sonos Handbell Ensemble.

SFCA collaborates with and performs with other choral groups of diverse repertoire, size, age, and background: including the Kammerchor der Universitat zu Koln and the prestigious Chamber Choir of the Academy of Arts in Berlin (Germany), and the Ateneo Chamber Singers (Philippines). We also invite high school and community choirs to join our concerts, including the Palo Alto Chamber Singers, the Young Musicians Chorus, and the Jewish Folk Chorus (engaged for our cancelled March 2020 concert set).
