Jonathan Crutchfield has taken a Youruban folk text and arranged it for SATB voices with a brief soprano solo and some very interesting percussion parts. Betelehemu gets its intense rhythms from African drumming techniques. This electric a cappella crowd-pleaser lends itself easily to choreography, and is extremely effective any time multicultural emphasis is desired.
