Caite Debevec

Living in: Baltimore, United States.

Caite Debevec was raised in the gorgeous island town of Sitka, Alaska. As a flautist and vocalist, Caite actively performs solo work, chamber literature, and large scale works. She has been a featured soloist for the Eastern Oregon University Community Wind Ensemble, the Eastern Oregon University Chamber Choir, and the Vermont Choral Consortium, and she has performed with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and the Philadelphia Orchestra.

Outside of performing, Caite is an active conductor and composer, writing large scale works for wind ensembles and choral ensembles, chamber music, and art songs for voice and piano. As a conductor, Caite is praised as engaging and professional, providing ensembles quality experiences. She has been found conducting ensembles at Eastern Oregon University, Castleton University, and Morgan State University, as well as the Union County Children's Choir, multiple church choirs, and LGBTQIA+ choruses in the mid-Atlantic region. Caite's studio, the Debevec Studio of Music, offers voice and flute lessons for musicians of all ages. Her voice studio is focused on transgender, non-binary, and LGBTQIA+ singers, ensuring that all students receive an affirming, healthy music making experience.

Caite holds a Bachelor of Music from Eastern Oregon University, with emphasis in flute performance, vocal performance, and composition, a Master of Music Education from Castleton University, and a Masters of Choral Conducting from Morgan State University where she received a graduate assistantship teaching in the music department. She is certified in Feierabend First Steps in Music for Preschool and Beyond, World Music Pedagogy, and Voice and Choral Pedagogy for Transgender and Non-Binary Singers.

She is currently pursing a Master of Early Childhood Education from Towson University.
