Dale Jergenson, was recognized world wide as a composer and performer with extensive credits in classical, film and commercial music. He held a B.A. and M.A. from San Diego State University, where he was honored as "Music Alumnus of the year 2000," a California Community College Instructor Credential, had five years post-graduate study in composition at UCLA, is listed in "Who's Who in American Music," and is cited in "Choral Music in the Twentieth Century" by Nick Strimple. He is the winner of film awards from festivals including the U.S. Film Festival, The Cine Golden Eagle and the Tehran International Film Festival. He has received music composition awards from the AGEHR National Composition Contest, the Lincoln Music Festival, the Richmond Professional Institute, the Celia Buck Awards, Saint Andrew Music Society, Atwater Kent Awards and the 1994 Delius Vocal Category Award.

Special commissions include several choral works for the Gregg Smith Singers, including the jazz suite "Trichromat" for their 40th anniversary and "The Gates" (commemorating Cristo's Gates in Central Park) for the GSS 50th nnniversary; "Mass of Dedication" for double Rodgers-Van Zoeren MIDI Pipe Organs; "Krishna Songs", a seven-movement chamber work for Soprano, String Quartet, Harp and Percussion; "Walking Slow", a National Endowment for the Arts grant composition for Chorus and Orchestra; "Reflections", a Keynote Arts Associates commission for Chorus and Orchestra; "Walk the Walk", for solo handbells and two harps; "Velvet Shoes" for Baritone, solo handbells and piano; commissions for new choral works from Cantori Domino and St. Cyril's, and "Comes the Dawn", for Soprano Solo and String Quartet as the year 2000 commissioned work for the Music Teachers National Association and CAPMT.

His "Missa Florens" for Chorus, Steel Drums and Congas and "Amazing Grace Mass" for Chorus and Bagpipes were received with great critical acclaim. His compositions have had their world premiere performances at the Kennedy Center, Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, the Ojai Music Festival, the Adirondak Festival of American Music, San Diego State University and UCLA. He currently serves as composer-in-residence for the professional choral ensemble, The Gregg Smith Singers, Cantori Domino and St. Cyril of Jerusalem Catholic Church in Encino, California. Mr. Jergenson's teaching experience includes Conducting and Voice at San Diego State University; Vocal Performance and Opera Workshop at West Texas State University; Music Theory, Opera Workshop, History of Jazz and Women's Chorus at UCLA.

In addition to classical music composition, writing experience includes scores for television, radio, commercials, documentaries and feature films. Mr. Jergenson owns Eric Productions, Inc., a film production company; Jergenson Productions, a music production company and ASCAP publisher; Laurendale Associates, a major sheet music and ASCAP publisher since 1989, owned Candlewick Productions, Inc., recording studio and film/video production studios, and was the Manager of the recording studio at Mattel Toys, Inc. for several years.

Mr. Jergenson's performance history encompasses tours throughout the world as the tenor soloist and assistant director for the Gregg Smith Singers, tenor soloist for the Roger Wagner Chorale, and with numerous other ensembles and companies including the Los Angeles Master Chorale. Along with appearing in "Yes, Georgio" and performing for the sound tracks of "Miracle on 34th Street," all the "Indiana Jones," "Home Alone," "Batman Returns" and "Jurassic Park" films, he has appeared on the Columbia label (and others) as a soloist, singing the music of Stravinsky (conducted by Stravinsky), Schoenberg, Gabrieli, Ives, Billings, Monteverdi, Schutz and many others. For more than 10 years Jergenson served as Director of the Los Angeles Master Chorale Outreach Ensemble as writer, arranger, producer and conductor.
