In Celebration of the Human Voice - The Essential Musical Instrument
Blue Jupiter is a powerful pop-jazz-funk a cappella quartet: Marty the beatboxer, Chris the screaming-high tenor, Jonathan the human orchestra, and Diana- (Blue Jupiter's secret weapon) a Broadway singer and voice-over artist. These four voices will set the audience ablaze with their infectious energy, seamless harmony and thunderous vocal percussion. You'll swear they have a back up band... but they don't.
Blue Jupiter is best known as the voices of Oreo Cookie, singing the national Oreo radio commercial since 2005. Over the past 6 years, Blue Jupiter has worked with famed producer and American Idol Judge Randy Jackson, sang with Livingston Taylor and performed on Oprah and VH1's Save the Music. They've headlined charity events for the American Cancer Society, The Red Cross, Braking the Cycle, Hartford Children's Hospital and many others. Blue Jupiter has been voted "Audience Favorite" multiple times at the Harmony Sweepstakes and has appeared at countless NACA (National Association of Campus Activities), showcases including the 2008 National Showcase in St. Louis.
Blue Jupiter's notoriety flourishes overseas having headlined at the Sands Casino in Macau, China in 2007, performing at multiple theatrical venues in Shanghai and Hong Kong, and was the featured headlining act for the Fourth of July celebration for over 10,000 American troops at the Kadena Airbase in Okinawa, Japan.
Besides their main-stage theatrical performance, Blue Jupiter also tours across the country with one of the top arts in education programs for vocal music dubbed A Cappella University. And form November through January, Blue Jupiter presents their holiday show: Scattered Flurries - a high-energy theatrical show that incorporates songs celebrating both Christmas and Chanukah.

Lil' Red Riding Hood
Review: Together for only year, the 4 guys in Minneapolis-based Blue Jupiter are making some major waves in the a cappella universe. Managed by Tim Kasper of The Blenders, BJ has the raw talent and creativity to go wherever they want. The style, arrangements, hell, even the liner notes are other-worldly! 12 songs, 'On The Road,' 'Groovin' to Blue Jupiter,' Stevie Wonder's 'Sir Duke,' 'Wrapped Up In You,' 'Hallelujah,' 'Green Shaggy Carpet Ride,' a crazed cover of Sam the Sham's 'Little Red Riding Hood,' the lovely 'Nightlight' (with light guitar accompaniment), the driving, bebop 'Mr. Pinstripe Suit,' a slow and sweet 'Stand By Me,' a brilliant cover of Carlos Santana's 'Smooth' and 'Song for Michelle.' One of the strongest, most impressive debut CDs we've heard. Highly recommended!
Songlist: On the Road, Groovin' to Blue Jupiter, Sir Duke, Wrapped Up In You, Hallelujah, Green Shaggy Carpet Ride, Li' red Riding Hood, Nightlight, Mr. Pinstripe Suit, Stand By Me, Smooth, Song for Michelle
Review: Edgy pop-funk Blue Jupiter, who won Audience Favorite and Best Arrangement at the Washington DC and NYC Harmony Sweeps Regionals 2 years in a row and recently won Oreo's 'Milk's Favorite Jingle' contest, which now is all over the radio, brings us their 3rd CD-the first two the critically acclaimed 'Ear Candy' and 'Scattered Flurries.' 'Live' has 'no tricks, no tracks, just four mouths and four mics,' all 12 cuts arranged, performed and recorded by these 4 talented guys in November 2005 in New York City. Smoky Robinson's 'Get Ready,' Cindy Lauper's 'Time After Time,' the Turtles' reborn bubblegum hit 'Happy Together,' a bluesy, funky cover of 'Flip, Flop & Fly,' the wonderful 'Mr. Pinstripe Suit,' Carlos Santana's classic 'Smooth' and 'Wrapped Up In You' from Ear Candy, the vocal percussion drum solo on 'Steal My Kisses' and the driving final cut 'All The Small Things' are favorites. Inexplicably, there's guitar accompaniment on 'Drive,' but the crowd is going nuts throughout, and so are we whenever we see or hear this energetic, dynamic quartet-'Live' is a stone winner!
Songlist: Get Ready, The Remedy, Wrapped Up In You, Time After Time, Brand New Jones, Flip Flop 'n' Fly, Mr Pinstripe Suit, Drive, Smooth, Steal My Kisses, Happy Together, All The Small Things
Review: Could this group be the next big thing in contemporary a cappella? Perhaps the biggest buzz in some circles has been for Blue Jupiter who have been compared to Rockapella, M-Pact, and The Blenders - and with very good reason. They are earning a reputation for performing high-energy shows (one of which was at the West Coast Summit) and are focused on becoming a full-time professional group. Opening with the strong original 'Scattered Flurries' the group goes on to sing a mix of Christmas standards with a style and sophistication that showcase their solid harmonies, creative arrangements and obvious talent. Well produced and recorded - a holiday treat for all a cappella fans.
Songlist: Scattered Flurries, Ready for a Miracle, O Holy Night, Mary Did YouKnow, What Child Is This, Lonely Night, Jingle Bells, The Christmas Song, Celebrate Me Home, Silent Night
