This is a nice, simple treatment of the Van Morrison favorite 'Moondance'. A solo in the second tenor range is true to the melody with some interesting chord subsititutions in the harmony parts. Beginning with a duet between solo and bass, there is plenty of room for some subtle, improvised vocal percussion from the other two voices. A bass part that doesn't get too low makes this a great choice for a young male quartet. An easy, yet effective arrangement of the all time Rodgers and Hart ballad 'You Are Too Beautiful', that gives your men's section a chance to really shine! Here's a snappy, toe-tapping rendition of ' Let's Get Away From It All'. It starts right in on the chorus and cruises along to a big ending. Straight-ahead, very fun to sing, and makes a great show opener. 'I've Got A Crush On You' starts with a rubato introduction into a slow-ish swing groove for the chorus. The verse is in the middle and is sung rubato with 'oo's' behind the lead. Back to tempo second time around with a half-step modulation into the last'A' with a ritard into the ending. |
