Crouch End Festival Chorus

Crouch End Festival Chorus was founded twenty-two years ago by local resident John Gregson, who had sung with another resident David Temple in the tenor section of the London Philharmonic Choir. John had founded the Crouch End Arts Festival and invited David to be the Musical Director of the Festival and the first Chorus Master of the choir.

Under their guidance and innovative leadership, CEFC rose in its first dozen years to be one of the leading large choirs in the country, with a wide repertoire encompassing both the standard classics and less familiar works from the twentieth century. It is one of the few large choirs to have received four Performing Right Society Enterprise Awards for its innovative programming of contemporary music.
