The Grammy-winning Atlanta Boy Choir and the Atlanta Young Men's Ensemble have been delighting audiences for almost 50 years, directed since 2001 by Artistic Director and Conductor David R. White. "Dancing day" is a Christmas musical feast, featuring a generous helping of Benjamin Britten, his lovely 12-part "Ceremony of Carols," and of John Rutter, his 8-part "Dancing Day." Add a taste of Morton Lauridsen ("O Magnum Mysterium"), Franz Biebl, ("Ave Maria"), Jan Peter Sweelinck ("Hodie Christus Natus Est") and the John Ferguson-arranged "O Come, O Come Emanuel," and we have something very special. Listen to the soaring solo on Britten's "Bululalow" to see how talented these young singers can be. Some light accompaniment. A wonderful Christmas collection from one of America's best boy choirs! |
