Long Island-based, mixed-voice Doo-Wop quintet (3 men, 2 women) Champagne, formed in 1995. Leader, founder and music arranger Chuck Chuck Arcuri sings baritone and lead; Joe Bell sings lead, baritone and second tenor; Christina Corallo, known as 'the Pipes' of Champagne, sings lead, first and second tenor; Jennifer Mikell sings lead and first tenor and Don Rafael is the bass man of the group. There are 18 finely-crafted tunes here, some favorites would be 'The ABCs of Love,' 'Please Mr. Disc Jockey,' 'I'm So Happy,' 'Higher and Higher' and 'Smoke From Your Cigarette' featuring Christine singing lead; 'The Sun's Message,' 'Little Girl of Mine,' 'Zoom' and 'When We Get Married' with Joe on lead; and 'Angel Baby' and 'You,' with Jennifer singing lead. Champagne has a lot of vocal talent, a nice clean sound and excellent arrangements-all of which makes 'An Acappella Toast' a very tasty Doo-Wop treat!
