Directed by Kenneth Jennings
Kenneth Jennings directs the St. Olaf Choir in twelve Christian songs and hymns, all sung in English. "Three American Hymns" starts us off, followed by Paul Christiansen's "Easter Morning" and "King of Love," Grieg's "God's Son Has Made Me Free," Alexander Gretchaninoff's "Our Father" and "Nunc Dimittis," F. Melius Christiansen's lovely "Celestial Spring" and "Beautiful Saviour," Georg Schumann's "How Great Are Thy Wonders," Kenneth Jennings' "Today, Heaven Sings," Olaf C. Christiansen's (these guys have to be brothers) "Sing Nowell, Sing Gloria" and "Hacia Belen va un Borrico" arranged by Alice Parker and Robert Shaw. A cappella, beautifully sung! |
