'Notes From The Underground' captures a groove that is indelible, complimenting the distinctive melody. 'Soul Food To Go,' 'The Zoo Blues' and 'Metropolis' are contemporary pop, but with a welcome complexity; 'Capim' is liquid contemporary jazz, with Stan Getz smoldering on sax throughout.
