Jan Pedersen Schiff
Jan is the founder and artistic director of Singers Marin. She holds a BA degree in Music Education and a Master's degree in Choral Conducting. Ms. Pedersen Schiff has been professionally involved with a broad range of choral groups, from K-12, community, church and professional choruses. Most memorable guest conducting positions have included the Mormon Tabernacle Choir in a live broadcast, and twice on the stage of Carnegie Hall with chorus and orchestra. She has received several awards, including the Susan B. Anthony Award for Cultural Achievement in Hollywood, the prestigious Milley Award for her achievements and contributions to the creative life of Mill Valley and the community of Marin, and was inducted into the Marin Women's Hall of Fame in 2013. |
