So Rare sweet adelines quartet

So Rare is an award-winning womenÕs a cappella quartet singing smooth sounds and intricate harmonies. No vocal percussion here, just perfectly blended chords in a varied repertoire including swing, jazz, modern and contemporary. Brought together by their love of close harmony, these talented ladies have been entertaining audiences for six years. SoRare! has been 1st runner up in the Boston Area Harmony Sweepstakes Competition for 1998, 1999, and 2000 before becoming this yearÕs winners. They are a five-time medalist quartet in the North Atlantic Regional Quartet Competition of Sweet Adelines International. They have performed extensively throughout New England including, WorcesterÕs 1st Night Celebrations, BridgewaterÕs 4th of July featured entertainers and performer of the National Anthem, Stellar A Cappella, A Cappella Gold, opening night for the Boston Celtics where they performed for Bill Russell, several area shows, clubs and private parties.

When you do something for the love of it, sometimes it just takes off on a life of its own. Four women began singing together for the love of it in 1995. They have been medalists five times in the North Atlantic Region #1of Sweet Adelines International and 1st runner up in the 1998, 1999 & 2000 Boston area Harmony Sweepstakes Competition. This year they won and advanced to the National Finals! ItÕs a wonderful time to for them to release a recording of great quartet arrangements featuring such tunes as an "AinÕt MisbehavinÕ Medley," "IÕve Got a Crush on You," "Beginning to See the Light," "Moonglow," and "Dream" among old favorites, well done quartetish style and served up with a touch of jazz.
