The pride of central Minnesota's St. John's University the SJBC has been delighting audiences throughout the US, Europe and Asia since 1981. 'Seasons' brings us 22 songs, a nicely-arranged mix of the secular (Carly Simon's 'Let The River Run,' 'The Rose,' 'Hotaru Koi,' and Dowland's 'The King of Denmark's Galliard,' and the sacred (Simon Lole's 'The Father's Love,' 'I'm Goin' up a Yonder,' 'Introit Missa pro defunctis,' and Rutter's 'For the Beauty of the Earth'). This choir has crisp intonation, wonderful phrasing, and is a joy to listen to on every cut! Some piano and recorder accompaniment. |
