Gregorian Chant offers 34 performances of soothing and relaxing chants split across three categories Ð Gregorian, Secular and Medieval. This DVD was recorded in the beautiful Medieval city of Tallinn, Estonia in the historic churches Toom Kirik and Chatariina Kirik. The music is performed by the group Hortus Musicus, which literally translates as 'music garden'. They gave their first concert in Estonia in 1972, making them the oldest continuously working ensemble specialising in early music, in Eastern Europe. |
