Rarely reissued commercial cuts and unissued selections from circa 1930 radio shows. From these flashes, it seems likely that the Bosewell Sisters could have "trended" with the times for a good many years. Trended in the sense that they always did: drawing selectively upon developments and refinements in jazz and popular music, shaping and honing the music of their time - or any time - with the consummate good taste and musical integrity that was the Boswells' hallmark.

he Music Goes 'Round And Around

Connee (1907-1976), Martha (1908-1958) and Helvetia ("Vet") Boswell (1909-1988) constituted the most popular female vocal group before The Andrews Sisters, and created some of the most exciting recordings of the early 30s - still sounding amazing today. They enjoyed 20 hits before breaking up, when the remarkable, wheelchair-bound Connee continued a great solo career, influencing a generation of singers such as Ella Fitzgerald. But as a trio, the Sisters were never matched.
