Buzz : Jingle Buzz

Review: How do you create a Sweet Adelines Supergroup? Take Nancy and Jeannine from Gold medalists City Lights, Karen of Gold winner Jubilation and Debbie, wearing her Showtime Gold, add a cool motto: "Four Parts, One Voice," pick an ultra-cool name, stir vigorously and turn up the heat in top-drawer competition in Indianapolis in 2004. Wow judges, who name you 2005 Queens of Harmony, then continue to stir audiences and make hot recordings! "Jingle BUZZ" is a 12-song Christmas Album, some of our favorites would include standards "Jingle Bells," "I'll Be Home For Christmas," "Mary Did You Know," "I Wonder As I Wander" (featuring a wonderful guest lead from Jim Henry), "Merry Christmas, Darling," "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus," and "What Child Is This." Surprise winners are the rarely recorded Swing tune, "Everybody's Waiting for the Man with the Bag" and the very funny "Diddly Squat," in which a "naughty" girl bemoans her letter's response from Santa. Classic leads and harmonies, well-chosen tunes, ringing, angelic chords-this is holiday cheer from the first cut to the last. "Jingle BUZZ" is great entertainment by one of Sweet Adelines' true Supergroups, sure to bring a welcome buzz to your house!

Songlist: Jingle Bells, I'll Be Home For Christmas, A Quartet Christmas, Mary, Did You Know?, Fa-La-La, I Wonder As I Wander, Everybody's Waiting For The Man With The Bag, Mary Had A Baby, Diddly Squat, Merry Christmas Darling, I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa, What Child Is This?

Buzz : So Happy Together

Review: Already well-medaled individually before they got together as a true supergroup, Nancy, Debbie, Karen and Jeannie and The Buzz won Sweet Adelines International Quartet Gold in 2005, and have been delighting audiences and happily living their "Four Parts, One Voice" motto ever since. Their two previous albums, "Buzzapalooza" and "Have You Heard The Buzz" are popular choices on Singers.com, and the joyous "So Happy Together" should be no exception! There are 11 winners here, "After Today," "Gospel Medley," "Time Waits For No One," "Undecided," "Got A Lot Of Living To Do," "With These Hands," the delightful "Girl in 14G," "A Whole New World," "First Day In Heaven," "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again," "Something Tells Me I'm Into Something Good/Happy Together" and Bonus Track "The Lord Bless You and Keep You." The harmonies, leads and ringing chords here are wonderful and fun, and the arranging (by Jay Giallombardo, David Wright, Joey Minshall, Aaron Dale and Debbie Cleveland, some of the best in the business) is top-drawer. "So Happy" is exactly that, so stop wondering what "The Buzz" is all about and enjoy one of Sweet Adelines' most entertaining groups!

Songlist: After Today, Gospel Medley - Invisible Hands, Gospel Medley - Every Day I Pray, Gospel Medley - Jesus is Coming Soon, Gospel Medley - Sea of Life, Time Waits for No One, Undecided, Got A Lot of Living to Do, With These Hands, Girl in 14G , A Whole New World, First Day In Heaven, Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again, Something Tells Me I'm Into Something Good/Happy Together, The Lord Bless You and Keep You

Buzz : Buzzapalooza

Review: As quite possibly the most highly regarded Sweet Adeline quartet performing today we had high expectations for this new release and are pleased to report that the CD perhaps even surpasses those hopes. This is a very talented quartet of singers who has chosen a most eclectic and interesting repertoire for this recording. They are also singing the arrangements of a veritable who's who of the great barbershop arrangers including Latzko, Wright, Briner, Waeche, Clancy and Rene Craig. Barbershop gurus Joe Connelly and Tony DeRosa also helped with the recording adding further to the feel of barbershop royalty and to the impeccable sound of the CD. This Buzzapalooza has plenty of razzmatazz and is highly recommended to all fans of barbershop singing.

Songlist: Give Me The Simple Life, How Deep Is The Ocean, Back In Business, Blues In The Night, My Love Is Like A Red Red Rose, Until The Real Thing Comes Along, Because Of You, He Broke My Heart In Three PlaceJim Clancy, Sweet Hour Of PrayerDavid Wright, Midnight Serenade, Lucky To Be Me, Here And Now

Buzz : Have You Heard The Buzz?

Review: The Buzz are a Sweet Adeline supergroup! Comprised of Nancy Fuhrman and bass Jeannie Froelich from City Lights along with baritone Karen Breidert of Jubilation and lead Debbie Connelly of Showtime they were crowned again in Indianapolis as the 2004 International Quartet Champions! These four former Queens of Harmony have come together to create a powerhouse of sound. Their debut CD "Have You Heard" includes "You Turned the Tables on Me" and "No, No, Norman," two of the songs that led them to victory; as well as a "Goodbye Medley" arranged by Tom Gentry with "Bye, Bye Blackbird," "So Long Dearie," "Toot, Toot Tootsie," and "Goodnight Ladies." The rumor mill, Sweet Adelines judges and your friendly reviewers at PAC agree, four Queens, and their great debut CD, are winners every time!

Songlist: Gee, But it's Good to be Here, You Turned the Tables On Me, It's My Song, One Fine Day, Mary, Did You Know?, Hey Mister, You Make Me Feel So Young, Turn Around, No, No Norman, Once Upon a Time, Cheek to Cheek, Goodbye Medley
