Included in Friends are quartet members from both barbershop singing organizations, three chorus directors, a church choir director, a member of the 1997 International Sweet Adelines Quartet Champions, 4-Star Collection, 2000 Region 6 quartet champions, Brass Ring, and judges/faculty of both organizations.

These two CDÕs are the fruit of seven married couples, all of
whom are members of SPEBSQSA and Sweet Adelines International. The ensemble
includes Pat Rygg and Connie Miller of 4 Star Collection. However, though some
vestiges of barbershop arrangement remain, most of the selections are show,
Broadway or inspirational songs. Not exclusively a cappella, three of the tracks
on "Ladies and Gentlemen," and four on "Because WeÕre Friends," are accompanied
in the easy listening style. Backing tracks notwithstanding, these fourteen
voices have many years of part-singing experience between them, and their tuning,
blend and expression are manifestly eloquent. Mixed groups have no officially
sanctioned competitions at International as of yet, but can be seen competing
at other barbershop events, such as Buckeye. Could be the start of something
big!
