Shin-ichiro Ikebe is a highly acclaimed Japanese composer who has written many symphonic works and operas, as well as, music for TV and film. This recording contains his choral works for children including six lullabies, twelve Fairy Tales and Doronko No Uta poems. These pieces are very simple, yet beautiful and would be a welcome addition to a program looking for something a little exotic for your choir.
