Founded in Alexandria, VA in 1948, the 200+ male members of this great chorus have a proud tradition, having won the International Chorus Championship Gold four times, and have been finalists 13 times, including 11 silver and bronze medals. Musical Director Scott Werner spent 38 years as a chorus member and almost 30 as their Director. 'Wee Small Hours' is a delightful, spirited 17-song collection of live performances, 'Alexander's Ragtime Band' and 'If You Were the Only Girl in the World' were recorded at the SPEBSQSA International competition in Nashville. Favorites are a very funny rendition of 'Kiss the Girl' from The Little Mermaid, Irving Berlin's 'Puttin' on the Ritz/Slummin' on Park Ave' and 'Steppin' Out Medley,' 'Old St. Louie,' 'Blue Velvet' and 'Battle Hymn of the Republic.' The guys are having great fun performing their richly harmonied, perfectly arranged nostalgic hits for us, and we get to let this wall of exquisite sound wash over us, and applaud!
