Directed by Rudy Hart
"Love Songs" is for, by and about lovers. The Hartsmen come from the "Heartland of America," Indiana, Illinois, Michigan and Ohio; and all have vocations other than singing. They also share a love of singing good choral harmony, which is clear from the first sumptuous notes to the last ringing barbershop chord. All the songs are good, especially "Ten Girls Ago," "Always," "Little Things Mean A Lot," "Don't Wait Too Long," "See You in September," "Someone to Watch Over Me," "There Goes My Heart" and "Where Is Love?" Whatever the aptly-named Hartsmen do for a living I would give them my business, because they're clearly pros. Their music is finely crafted and filled with feelingthey respect the memories and nostalgia these songs evoke in people. And I firmly believe in supporting other lovers!
