Beat'achon has grown tremendously in this second album. The voices have matured as well as the combination of Jewish chant and traditional tunes with modern doo-wop and contemporary styles. "Adon Olam," sung to the tune of "Under the Boardwalk," with its complexity of mouth pops and asperative percussive elements (then they throw in the horn lick just in case the mix isn't rich enough) is to die for, so to speak. With sophisticated recording, engineering, and producing assistance Beat'achon has come a long way along the path toward groyskayt!. |
